ELOFIT high density polyethylene fittings Ø110mm (4") and Ø63mm (2") have been installed for the new water pipeline in the reconstruction of the Nižne-Volžskaja riverbank in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. In the center of European Russia, Nizhny Novgorod is the fifth largest city in the country with a population of about 1.26 million people. For centuries it has been one of the most important commercial and industrial centers in all of Russia and a city with a glorious history. It has always been an important hub for land and river transport, thanks to its marvelous position on both sides of the Oka river where it flows into the Volga (which is one of its most important tributaries, as well as the eighth longest river in Europe). It is also one of the main European stations of the Trans-Siberian railway. On its numerous riverbanks it is possible to admire enchanting landscapes and take long walks.
