ELOFIT high density polyethylene fittings Ø110mm (4") and Ø160mm (6") have been installed for the construction of a new gas pipeline in the Jaroslavl region in Russia. The city of Jaroslavl is one of the oldest and most famous cities in Russia, founded in 1010. It is part of the so-called golden ring which includes the most relevant cities around Moscow. Its privileged position on the Volga river has favored its development over the centuries. The city has 600.000 inhabitants and its gas pipeline and oil pipeline guarantee work for the population. Its railway is extremely important as it is part of the Trans-Siberian Railway, the longest railway network in the world. The historic center of Jaroslavl is part of the UNESCO heritage list. In its urban development you can find all Russian architectural styles, from the 16th century up to the 20th century. There are 140 architectural monuments, including beautiful churches and chapels, all decorated on the walls and with the usual Greek diagram, well-restored Baroque buildings, squares and wide boulevards. Since the emperor Peter the Great gave up the maritime trade through Archangelsk, the flow of goods passing by Jaroslav diminished and many merchants went into misery but this favored the development of the industry and today Jaroslavl is still an important industrial center.
