ELOFIT is a High Density Polyethylene system of electrofusion and spigot fittings and special components for the conveyance of water and gas under pressure. ELOFIT complies with some of the most important international standards for industrial applications, water supply and gas distribution. The ELOFIT system is mostly assembled through the electrofusion process. On the inside, the fitting houses electrical resistors connected to the outside cable terminals. When current moves through them, these resistors generate the heat needed to melt polyethylene. Energy is transmitted directly and exclusively to the surface where pipe and fitting come into contact with each other, producing heat welding.
