We are proud to announce that the NIRON β system for HVAC applications received CSTB and ATEC certificates, the first European certifications obtained by NUPI for this product range. The NIRON β system includes single-layer pipes, multilayer pipes with fiberglass and a wide range of electrofusion and butt fusion fittings completely made of PP-RCT for hydronic applications, heating systems and plumbing installations. PP-RCT is a new generation of polypropylene that stands out thanks to a special β-nucleation process that improves the crystalline structure of the material, with a consequent better resistance to certain chemical substances. This excellent feature makes NIRON β the best choice in installations where chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) treatments are used. The new formulation and production process of PP-RCT allows the pipes produced with this material to withstand higher pressure levels, especially at high temperatures. PP-RCT has higher performance characteristics than its predecessor PP-R. NIRON β pipes are particularly suitable for use in large buildings thanks to the special characteristics of their raw material which guarantees high mechanical strength and durability, even at high temperatures and pressures. Today, NIRON β can boast various installations in large collective buildings such as schools, universities, hospitals and nursing homes where cost and energy savings and safety are of primary importance. The NIRON β system represents a valid alternative to steel pipes thanks to its inertia to any corrosion caused by water and its particular chemical composition.
