ELOFIT fittings have been installed in the Kirovo-Čepeck mineral fertilizer factory in north-eastern Russia. Electrofusion and butt fusion fittings from Ø63mm to Ø315mm were used for the water supply system and the sewerage pressure system. ELOFIT fittings are particularly suitable to be used in large industrial plants thanks to the considerable dimensions they are able to reach. The current Kirovo-�?epeck city dates back to 1935, when it was founded as a workers' settlement during the construction of an important thermoelectric power plant called Kirovo-�?epeckaja. The status of city will arrive twenty years later, in 1955. Since mid-fifteenth century there is however knowledge of the village of Ust'-�?epca (ust 'in Russian means estuary) that was founded here by merchants of Veliky Novgorod. In addition to the important chemical plant, the city now also houses a building materials factory.
