HIGH EFFICIENCY COGENERATION SYSTEM

We have installed modern trigeneration systems in our plants for the combined production of electrical and thermal energy in a high-efficiency cogeneration (CAR) regime and with nominal power of 635 kW in Busto Arsizio and 1067 kW in Castel Guelfo.         

These cogeneration plants allow to obtain the Energy Efficiency Certificates (TEE - Certificates Bianchi) by the (Energy Services Manager). Thanks to the consumption performance obtained and the comparison with the sector benchmarks, in 2020 only, NUPI obtained 363 White Certificates for the plant in Busto Arsizio and 672 for the plant in Castel Guelfo di Bologna. These energy efficiency certificates certify the efficiency of the annual production of cogeneration plants and represent the achievement of primary energy savings with consequent reduction of CO2 emitted. Each white certificate is equivalent to saving 1 TOE (ton of oil equivalent).
