NIRON PPR FG and CLIMA pipes and fittings were installed for the heating system of the new L'Oeuf D'Or plant under construction in the new industrial area of �??�??La Houssaie in Andenne, Belgium. The plant will take care of the biological breeding of laying hens and the supply of eggs. It will also have a hatchery with a planned production of 130,000 slow-growing organic chicks per day for the company itself or for other establishments. The plant is currently under construction. The start of operations is scheduled for October 2018. This multi-million dollar investment will employ 10 people within the company and will also have a positive impact on employment in the region. Polypropylene pipes reinforced with fiberglass have been specially designed to meet the requirements of air-conditioning systems but they have been subsequently used in all applications where lower thermal expansion was required. Polypropylene pipes with fiberglass are made up of several layers. The inner and outer layer are made of polypropylene (PP-R or PP-RCT) and the intermediate layer is composed of a specific PP-R or PP-RCT containing a given percentage of fiberglass. The technological contribution of fiberglass consists mainly in lower thermal expansion and higher resistance to expansion/contraction that make the product more stable to temperature variations from a dimensional point of view.
