NUPI Industrie Italiane supplied polyethylene pipes and ELOFIT HDPE fittings for a coal-fired power plant that produces electricity in Ptolemaida within the area of western Macedonia in Greece. This area is considered as highly industrialized. Here there are 4 power plants that produce 70% of the whole electricity in Greece. In its subsoil are large quantities of lignite, which are used as fuel for the power plants. For this installation, polyethylene pipes PE100 SDR11 diameter 20mm, 32mm, 90mm, 160mm and ELOFIT electrofusion HDPE fittings (couplers, elbows, tees, stub ends and flanges) were supplied for the drainage and washing systems and for the surge pipe.
