Friendly match between Transplant Volleyball Club Italy and SBT Volley Clai Team sponsored by NUPI Industrie Italiane last Sunday, January 21st with the participation of our Giuseppe D'Alù from NUPI Quality Department who plays for SBT Volley Clai Team. This was the first annual appointment for the Transplant Volleyball Club Italy, constantly engaged in raising awareness on the topic of transplantation. Volleyball unites all the athletes who are part of the Club, in addition to the experience of a transplant experienced at different moments of life. A life that has begun again thanks to someone else's yes.

The charity match was held in front of an audience of about two hundred people and was interspersed with the draw of lottery prizes, acrobatic football demonstrations and the intervention of a representative of 2020 A Year Without War, an international association with the aim of promoting a global ceasefire throughout the year of the Tokyo Olympics. The association highlights how sport is a common language, an instrument for meeting completely different countries or countries in conflict between each other for economic or territorial reasons, a way to overcome any obstacle to play sports.

The match started with the presentation of the athletes of both teams who then sang the Italian anthem together. Two official volleyball referees surveilled the match, allowing it to take place regularly. The athletes of the Transplant Volleyball Club Italy showed a good athletic preparation and fielded a good game. The athletes on the other side of the net showed the same enthusiasm and the match took place in a pleasant atmosphere, thanks also to the support shown by the public.

The game ended with a 3-0 victory for the Transplant Volleyball Club Italy but, despite the victory, a fourth set was played just for the pleasure of playing, a set that ended in favor of SBT Volley Clai. At the end of the match the cheques were handed out which allocated all the proceeds of the day to the Transplant Volleyball Club Italy and the 2020 A Year Without War association.
